I started this blog in November of 2011, but as you can see this is the first post. I guess I didn't really start it then, but I did create it at that time. I was talking to Deron about ways to share resources (lesson plans, online resources, rubrics, books, etc) and although I wasn't sure blogging was the best format I thought it might be a way to share ideas and links in a public way. If I have put in the work why not let others benefit instead of having to invent the wheel as they say.
I was determined to start actually posting this year once school started and I would use this forum to reflect on classes I am taking at university, but also those I will be teaching in elementary school. I was spurred on to action tonight by my instructor of my phys ed class. Part of our grade this term is how well we blog and use twitter to reflect and connect with other students and physical education professionals. This requirement means I can't put off my good intentions any longer and blogging (in one subject area at least) will be constant for the next few months.
I hope to expand on the requirements and also talk about other subject areas, put up links to lesson plans I have created, and link back to interesting pins from Pintrest, but we will see how much time that all takes.
I guess that's it for an intro, but my first "real" post will be up soon talking about the process of starting the twitter and blog requirements for EPE (my phys ed class) and how I plan to tackle the assignment.
